Summary - 09/05/2009

Firstly, A Big Thank you to all that made it today's field soccer. Your commitment is well appreciated. Also thanks to Ebenzer and his Dad for also turning up, your support is also well noted.

k, Back to business

Today's weather might as well have killed off the mood to play, but kudos to the endurance of our players! But unfortunately, it led to 3 casualties, namely Hidir, Haja and Vicknesh, all three who left the pitch limping in vain and therefore unable to continue on.

The game today was splendid, mostly due to a more balanced side as most claimed, due to previous feedbacks given by the players. Today's notable performers are Navin and Siva. Both playing for seperate teams and also both playing as goalkeepers. The 1st half was filled by excellent saves and clearance by both keepers. Main highllights were 2 goals from each side. 1st scored by team shirtless, a neat and cool finish from Haja. Team shirt was quick to response, and with swift passing and a splendid cross by Darryl, which found its way to Haris, who equalize. Soon the tide was against team shirtless, as they were controlling the game and also testing their keeper, Siva, who pulled off fantastic saves, most recognizable the shot that was sure to be heading into the top corner. But Team shirtless managed to score another goal, this time it was Mulatazam who found the net. It was against the run of play! Due to poor Marking, Zam, ran into the box unmarked and headed in home. But the resistant team shirt kept on going and equalize yet again! This time it was Farhan, after a some quick passing, Haris was able to provide Farhan to blast it in the net! - end of half-

The second half show more action as team shirt lost 3-5, and also let to the 3 injuries.

The team continued playing and there were many half invovled.

Now, as for about today's attendance. It is dissapointing that many players did not turn up, especially the ones who said that they would come. Siva was very dissapointed and this is what he had left to say, "I appreciate all those who came, these are the ones who i am proud to call teammates, but still, a little more seriousness needs to be shown if all wan this to prosper & actually have a future with the team, and lastly, i sincerely thank all who came, esp Ebenzer and his dad."
