Saturation

Alright people. Impulse EFC is finally up and running. The 7-A-Side tournament is this Saturday. This should give inexperienced players an opportunity to gain some exposure.

More players are coming in and I guess everyone would agree that the team is really saturated with players. As usual, I am going to make a list of players.

We have 22 now. If my memory serves me well, we need 3 more before we can register as a team with the FAS. For the last 3, please do keep in mind that it is important that players are able to gel and communicate. Not to mention we are awaiting the return of Izzwan.

Long time since the last blog update. This post would be different from the previous player profile, considering Daryl did not reply my email.



Name: Daryl Lim An Wei

Jersey Number: 11

Position: Mid-fielder/Striker

The captain! Besides being the captain, Daryl has poured his sweat and MAYBE tears into the team. Remember that the balls we train with and our Coach Burns were all Daryl's work.

Probably one of the most experienced player on the team. Daryl is an excellent mid-fielder with strong attacking qualities. He plays well as a mid-fielder, dribbling pass defenders and playing the final pass to the strikers. Increasingly, Daryl plays as a striker as he has good power and accuracy with his shots.










Quek: Is it me? Or does Daryl look like Frank Lampard? Well, he is the Frank Lampard of the team. Captain, good attacking midfielder and has good attacking qualities! I doubt anyone gonna disagree with me. The tournament is coming! Hope he can lead us to a good performance then!!!

News and New Players

Hello people! Well, I am sure many of you have already heard about it by now. But I still have to blog about it. Impulse EFC might soon be able to train at Dunman Secondary School. How we got the field will now be discussed here but rejoice people.

In other news, our entrance into the 13th division is nearly an actuality. It is a open age group division, so we are definitely playing against older,stronger and more experienced players. So be prepared!

7-a-side tournament around 7th and 8th November. This is just an event that coach signed us up. It is alot like the Futsal event we took part 2 years ago. This event would be 24 hour event at the Tampines Stadium. If you people are wondering, we have two teams so everyone gets to play.

Looking at things, our team is pretty good. We have 1 goal keeper, 7 defenders, 7 mid-fielders and 3 strikers. Of course we are still searching for a back up keeper.

2 new players has recently joint our training sessions, David and Park ( I am not sure Park is his real name ). One thing is clear, they are good players with skills that would benefit the team. On Wednesday, the demonstrated that they can work with our players. Namely Park with Jason and Kah Beng with David.

They have not voice out their intentions, whether they want to commit themselves to the team or not. If they do, they would beef up out mid-field and strike force. Definitely a good thing. Anyways, that's all for now people.

Call for Design of Emblem and Team Jersey

Alright people... I guess since it is the holidays, we have more free time. It is possible for us to come up with a design for the Impulse EFC emblem and jersey. You have the freedom to come up with anything. Please do not come up with anything ridiculous. You can draw or use the computer or whatever. Especially for those artistically inclined, please help out!

For the jersey, indication of the brand would be helpful. For example you want to use Adidas, remember there Must be the 3 strips. Once you get the design done, colour scheme should be included too.

Once I got a couple designs, I'll post them here to vote.

Name: Haris Ismail

Jersey Number: 8

Position: Midfielder

Haris plays mainly a central midfield role but at times have been placed in as defender. A player who is capable of dribbling, he enable the team to make the transition from defence to attack.

1. What is your preferred position?

-I love to play as a striker or a Central midfield role.

2. Do you have a particular style of play or particular way you tend play?

-Hmm,it depends on my mood. Sometimes I love to dribble a lot when I knw that I'm on form. But sometimes I pass the ball when & I don't dribble that much.

3. Which areas do you think you need improvements?

-Hmm,controlling the ball with both feets & power of my shot.

4. Which Impulse player you look up to or like? And why.

-Hmm,I look up to all players. Cos every players is different. Like you can't compare Petr Cech to Drogba. They are different like one is good as a goallie while others is good in finishing.

5. New Jersey? If yes, any colour scheme in mind?

-Hmm,hope they come soon, but not now. A different color would be better, if another team we are playing againsrt has the same colour as us,we have another team jersey that's of different colour.

6. Which teams do you support?

-Well u should know me. Chelsea Chelsea!! From Stamford Bridge to Wembley,the Blue Flag Still Flies High!!!

7. Which club players do you idolize? And why.

-There are a few that I idolize. Lampard & Drogba. Not forgetting John Terry. Lampard is good at controlling the midfield.Drogba is amazing at finishing. Terry is the best defender ever.

Position: Goalkeeper

1. What is your preferred position?

- GoalKeeper (Cuz I'm awesome at it)
But I do hope that one day, I will be able to play in a Mid-field role like my idol Stevie G !

2. Do you have a particular style of play or particular way you tend play?

- What is soccer without Goals & as a keeper, I have a good view of the whole game. Watching my team Score is truly awesome for me. And the only way to score is to attack !

3. Which areas do you think you need improvements?

- Goal Kick and polish up my foundation ( back to basics)

4. Which Impulse player you look up to or like? And why.

- Daryl Lim An Wei - cuz he's a good friend & team mate. Awesome player
- Louis Loh - He is Very Hard Working

5. New Jersey? If yes, any colour scheme in mind?

-Definitely a yes to new jersey ! Maintain the Red & Black (its awesome)

Ready For Training? You Got Banned!

I hope everyone had a good rest over the exam period. Physical rest, mentally that depends. But I hope everyone is up for training! Well, we should be able get a couple of training before getting on with the next match. But that one should be thought out carefully. Please make sure the opponent have at least 15 players. If you guys want a good pitch, book early. No one wants a repeat of the last match.

Jersey is an issue we can wait. Or discuss about. Colours, price etc. Now I think our pirority is to get back to training! O ya, the Jersey number on the blog site cannot be edited by me, cos I don't have the number and my account is not the admin account. So I can only post entries and nothing else. Please ask Navin or Vicknesh to change it.

Btw, I banned THat Son of A Bitch... One of them at least. But I am monitoring the comments!
